Venue: Aquarium

February 2, 2010

It all started with a $20 aquarium we found on Craigslist.  Cheap, decorative pets was the idea.  Then we proceeded to add $100+ of fish, filter, and live plants into the 10 gallon glass box.  Some died, most lived.  We had some fun with a bunch of ghost shrimp and cheered for their survival.  Unfortunately, as we later found out, they are feeder shrimp and not meant to live.  So we decided to work with that and bought Mr. Eel who feeds on ghost shrimp.  Mr. Eel also eats blood worms that we keep in the fridge.  Scared the crap out of my mom when we moved back and stuck it in the freezer.

Furthermore, H2B also likes to drink beer on the lake and pretend to go fishing.  It’s not his fault that I’ve caught a fish every time we are out and he has caught none.

Actually, I’m going to let you in on a secret.  H2B is actually a blowfish.  I caught him out on the shores of Top Sill island.  I had to kiss this face to turn him into Prince Charming.  This is love.

Action shot.  Grossness

Back to the aquarium.  Mr. Eel and the others have been transported down the east coast and all the way to Texas.  They live.  Since aquatic life (and the major arguments about transporting them vs. leaving them to die) is a big part of our lives, an aquarium may be an appropriate place to exchange our nuptials.
